IABSC Technology & Innovation Committee will host a one-day, mini-summit titled, “BHS Optimization Through Data-Driven Maintenance”.
With today’s modern airports becoming progressively high-tech and innovative, airport baggage handling systems are becoming more automated to improve efficiency and reduce wait times. However, more automation leads to more complexity. A proper maintenance management system results in fewer delays and breakdowns, reduce maintenance costs and contract labor hours, and extends the life expectancy of assets. So, how do you take the leap from a state of reactive maintenance to predictive and prescriptive maintenance? How do you reap the benefits of a modern maintenance strategy while avoiding pitfalls along the way?
In this Optimization through Data-driven Maintenance Event, experts will present the power of the new technologies that enable significant improvement in maintenance management. In addition, they will discuss the current state and how modernization through continuous optimization of old assets and integration of new assets into maintenance management. What is the Mini-Summit about?
The mini-summit will focus on the Optimization of BHS through Data-driven Maintenance management. We will discuss key BHS KPIs and how machine learning and Predictive/Prescriptive maintenance can help in reducing the operating cost and improving asset life.
The idea for the summit is part of a larger effort focused on developing a sustainable strategy enabling higher capacity and reduced operating costs for BHS. Maintenance management is the core of such a strategy, and key technologies can enable significant savings and efficiency improvements.
Who is hosting the Mini- Summit?
The IABSC Technology and Innovation Committee will host a full day of panel sessions, discussions, and networking. Rockwell is providing space for up to 50 attendees as well as food in the morning, lunch, and a happy hour view of Lake Michigan from their famous Clock Tower.
What are the specific goals for the Mini- Summit?
Attendees will undertstand how technology innovations in AI/ML, data connectivitiy, and cloud computing can help improve the existing BHS installations through smart maintenance management.
