IABSC Baggage Handling System Career Day at UT Dallas
Companies from the International Association of Baggage Supply Companies holds first-ever “BHS Career Day” at the University of Texas Dallas (UT Dallas) in partnership with the “Engineer in Residence” (EiR) group.
Almost 50 engineering students and alumni attended the first-ever “IABSC BHS Career Day” at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in partnership with the “Engineer in Residence” (EiR) group. The goal of the event, held on campus, was to inform students about the Baggage Handling System industry, the types of problems we solve, the kinds of companies that support that industry, and, most importantly, to let them know the amazing careers the BHS industry can offer.
The event was split into two segments, with companies first giving all the attending students brief overviews of their role in the BHS industry and examples of the types of jobs and careers one could have in the BHS industry. The second part of the event was a classic career fair, where students could apply to jobs, speak with company representatives, and learn more about the industry.
The event was a big success for both companies and students, and we’re looking to continue that trend with another event at UTD in February.
