Today more people are aware of cybersecurity and our digital vulnerabilities than ever before. Organizations continue to adapt to the everchanging security landscape in our increasingly connected world. While the corporate and home awareness of traditional IT security evolves, another term is beginning to creep into our vernacular. Operational Technologies or OT is a term used to describe the equipment and devices that make things work in countless industries around the globe. From manufacturing and consumer products to Airport Baggage Handling Systems, operations technologies are responsible for making things happen. With the advent of the Internet of Things or IoT, and the use of “smart” devices in industry, data is driving almost every aspect of our lives. The connectivity required to make this happen has blurred the lines between the traditional IT and OT worlds. Increased connectivity of IoT and OT devices has revealed unexpected vulnerabilities. In this IABSC Session, we will continue our 2020 theme of “Changing the Industry Standard.” Our discussion will define what exactly is OT and OT Cyber Security, why it matters to you, what’s the least you need to know, and when should you call in an expert. After a brief presentation, a panel of experts will discuss the topic and answer questions from the audience. We are excited to help the IABSC Community understand the critical topic of OT Cybersecurity.
